Hey everyone

   Well I am finally able to blog and tell you guys a little about myself! This has been such an exciting time getting ready for this trip and I can't tell you how anxious I am to meet everyone and start our adventure in Nicaragua:)

   I am 19 and live in California. I'm in the middle of finals right now, finishing up my second year at Cuesta College. I love being outdoors and living here in San Luis Obispo. It's great I am blessed to be in this area and have mountains and the ocean nearby. I love hiking and have made that one of my favorite hobbies lately. Its great going alone and being able to reflect on things going on during the week, and being able to appreciate everything God has given me in my life. Soccer is also one of my favorites and I hope we can have some pick up games with all the kids in Nicaragua, that would be awesome.

   This past year has been such a growing experience for me since I have been living on my own with a couple of my best friends. It has really challenged me with discovering myself and who I am as a Christian. I have such a passion for helping out and going on mission trips, since I have been going with my family for years. This will really be challenging going off without knowing anyone, as you all can relate! I have faith that God is going to teach us all how to love people and thats what makes this trip even more exciting, rather than scary.

   I can't wait to meet everyone, this trip is coming up so fast!
