Hey! My name is Allie Mitchell and I'm from Aurora, Nebraska. God has blessed me with
two awesome brothers, one older and one younger, and two amazing and
encouraging parents. I am 20 years old and am a sophomore at Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska. I'm
majoring in Elementary Education with a music concentration. I play the
piano and alto saxophone and am currently learning how to play the violin and djembe. I also love to run! I ran in cross country
and track my freshman year but I guess priorities changed and God had different plans for me this
year. Although I was no longer on the team, I was still able to compete
in the Kansas City half-marathon last fall and loved it! Only by God's strength was I able to finish it! (Isaiah 40:28-31) Praise Him! Since last summer God has caught hold of my heart and has
been molding it in many exciting, though at times painful, ways! He has
been teaching me about the love He has for me (and you!) and how we're
only able to love Him and others because He first loved us! (1 John 4)
It's beautiful! Dios es amor! I'm so excited that God has placed me on this trip and am truly blessed to have the opportunity to personally get to know more of my brothers and sisters! Also, not only to get to know you guys but to see what God has planned for all of us and what He wants to teach us through this trip while striving to be obedient servants to further His Kingdom. I may not know you all yet but I'm not gonna lie....I already love ya! (of course only because He first loved us!)
