Hello friends! My name is Emma and I'm a freshman at Baylor University. I've lived in Houston all of my life, and I love getting to go home and visit my parents and my sister whenever I can. I love mission trips and I can't wait to see how this trip will unfold! My top 10 favorite things in no particular order are:

1- My bible. I've had the same one since 3rd grade and I love having all of my notes from the last 10 years penciled in the margins.
2- Washing my face. Weird, yes. Still, one of my favorites.
3- Taking pictures. I would say photography, but the pictures I take aren't always for art or expression, but rather just capturing the moment and the smiles.
4- Spanish. I've been taking Spanish since 6th grade, and I'm so ready to be fluent. I love knowing that learning the language will let me communicate with even more people!
5- Young Life. I was active in Young Life in high school and now in college I lead young life for an inner-city middle school and I absolutely love it. Some of my best memories from high school are from Young Life trips and events.
6- Markers. I'm honest in saying that senior year of high school, I only brought a pack of 75 markers to class every day, never a pencil or a pen. I like to draw/write/color, not skillfully, but just in general.
7- Organizing. I loveeee containers and organizational things, I feel much less stress when things are neat and in the right place.
8- My dog Bonnie. She's a boxer and she's big and she's awesome.
9- Baylor. God has been so so good to me here. I started in the fall feeling so disconnected and alone, and I prayed nightly for God to let me persevere and find joy in that new place, and he has given me more than I could have ever hoped for. I love my friends and my life here!
10- Mission trips. I love to get involved and to see what I can do for the families both physically and emotionally. My trips have let me pick up a number of useful construction skills, but even more importantly, amazing stories and testimonies of God's love in action.

I can't wait to meet you all!
Emma
