I don't have much time to write but I just have to share again how good God is;) I'm here in Georgia for leadership training camp preparing for the participants arrival. Today they arrive and it's so exciting! Never in a million year could I have imagined being in the place I'm at today...getting ready to lead a team with another awesome leader (BECCA!!). Just where God has taken me overall is amazing. Once again goes to prove that ‘NO eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love HIM.' I especially could not have seen this a few months ago...a point when I felt like I was dead smack in the middle of some crazy storm/hurricane/flood or any other name you can give it. It seemed like everything was just out of wack and crashing down. But through it all I know that God was truly preparing me for what He had already prepared. Some of the things and thought that were in the mist at the time (few months ago) and what he showed me include such things as:
- Not knowing where I was heading, BUT GOD showed me "I guide you in the way of wisdom and lead you along straight paths."
- Friendships and relationships seemed to be falling apart and diminishing, BUT GOD reminded me that I AM a friend of HIS and that he must be my number #1 priority
- I was weak and tired (spiritually and physically), BUT GOD is "our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble" (Ps 46:1)
- I felt like a mess, BUT GOD reminded me that HE is the potter while I am the clay. He was simply molding me to the person he wants me to be
- The STORM wasn't stopping, BUT GOD (in his timing) "stilled the storm to a whisper and the waves of the sea were hushed"
In the storm you can be washed away or washed clean. The rain that was pouring down on me was cleansing and equipping me. God was merely cleaning and building me up. Praise GOD!
I know this other thing I will mention may sound small but it was an awesome "Praise God" moment for me....Yesterday the leaders were able to hang out and have some fun time at an awesome family's home! Most of those who know me know that Jet Skiing has been one of my absolute favorite outdoor things to do!! Only problem...I'd never done it before! Haha So yesterday I got my chance and it was beautiful. AS I was out there I thought to myself, "Wow! God really has been giving me the desires in my heart...with missions, traveling, serving, and as simple as Jet Skiing!!
* Please keep us in prayer as the participants are traveling today and as we continue to set up camp here in Georgia before we go to our countries. Pray that GOD continues to equip all of us for what HE is about to do*
