Hola! My name is Lianne Dahl. I am 19 years old and currently a freshman at Concordia College in the frozen plains of Moorhead, MN. I am having a wonderful experience so far (except for the cold). Our mascot is a Cobber (an ear of corn) named Kernel Kobb (just a random fun fact). As of now I am a Spanish major, but other than that I have no idea what I want to do with the rest of my life. It is so tough to choose what I want to study because I am interested in a variety of different subjects. Besides studying for my classes, I am involved in various activities around campus including Students for Social Justice, Bible Studies, campus worship activities, Spanish Club, LeadNow, working in the Spanish department, working as a weekend counselor at El Lago Del Bosque (Spanish Concordia Language Village), and volunteering for Cobber Kids (a daycare center near campus).
When I am not at school, I am at home in Lino Lakes, MN about 20-30 minutes north of the Twin Cities. I love being home with my family and friends. I live with my dad, mom, younger brother and sister, and my little puppy. They are so important to me and have inspired me to do many different things. My family has also been a large part of my faith journey. I have been involved in church since I was a baby and it is a huge part of who I am. My church has challenged me to grow in my faith so much. I went on 2 mission trips in the past 2 years to Guatemala with my church and they were life-changing. After those trips, I have felt even more called to do mission work in Central America and I am really looking forward to Nicaragua with you all! Yea! Nos Vemos!
